Final Results for 2012!

Well, not the best weather for our Fun Night... but it sure was fun. It was nice to play with those teams that you had not played with all season. There was one match up that met on a position night, but all the rest had not played. The rain wasn't too hard, until we got in. The food was great and the drinks were awesome! THANKS STILLI!

The winners look like our leader board. I will need to revisit that handicap calculation:

1st: "A-Rods" (Barry and Dan)

2nd:"Dude,WhrzTheCart" (Jerry and Marty)

3rd: "Bassholes" (Rick, and Dave)

Congrats to Andrew for winning the biggest prize of all. He got his dues covered for next year by our generous sponsor, Stilli and Guardian National Bank. Be sure to send them some buisness, if you or a friend is refinancing over the winter.

E-mail for next year will be coming out near January 1. Dues will be due shortly after that date. Please start saving now. If you know that you will not be playing, please let me know ASAP.

Thanks for the wonderful year! Have a good winter and we'll see you all when things start getting green again. Hopefully sooner...

News from the final playoff night

Jerry and Marty take the well deserved top spot. They had nearly 20 points on the second place team and cleaned house, taking on Barry and Dan.

For the Third place run, Nick and Dave held off Mitch and Greg. Our rookie team had a great first year.

Fifth place goes to Doug and Jeff, they were successful in overtaking Josh and Matt.

I would like to thank Eric, Roger, Mary, and Liz for hosting the pre-golf grillout! It was awesome! Great food and great drinks. Fun was had by all. Let it be known that I am going to pratice the overhand throw in Washers and kick Ryan's ass next time :)

Skins game ended up with another large carryover. Jerry took the pot ($245) with a birdie on the par 3, #6. Josh and I were the bridesmaides. We birdied #4 (net eagles) and tied, which gave Jerry the whole kit and kaboodle.

The last night of organized golf league is coming up this Wednesday. It willl be our Fun Night. Please Enjoy! The rules andhole assignments are posted. The team you play with came from the team that you were not scheduled to play. The "preview sheet" is two pages. If you know you are having a sub, let me know. There will be a team donation of $10 to help the better golfers (of the event). Look for me at the practice green. Award ceremony and party will be outside on the patio following our round! Appetizers will be provided. Please, no extra holes and do not linger in the parking lot.

More bass were caugh this last Wednesdayt! Rumor has it that Dave's was bigger than Rick's - must be an optical illusion!!!

Score Cards 101:

We have two player teams. Write down the visiting team's lowest handicap's name, then the home teams lowest handicap's name. Then do the same for the highest handicaps. If your two players are tied, you make the call before teeing off the first hole. Please write the first and last name for all subs. If they are a new sub, please note that too. After the line-up, all I care about is that you circle the gross hole score of the player who wins the hole (match play) and your total gross score. That is all that is required.

To figure the handicap holes for match play (the hole you give or take strokes), figure the difference of your handicap and your opponent's handicap. Then the higher handicap gets a stroke on that many holes. They get the strokes on the hardest handicapped holes. The handicap for the holes is indicated on the scorecard. The lower the number, the harder the hole. No more than one stroke is given per hole. Nine is our league maximum of stroke for Match Play.

That is all that is required. My software will calculate everything else. I certainly do not mind if you figure out all the points. It allows me to double check the data entry. If you would like a live tutorial, please ask. It only takes a minute, so please ask.
